Tod Strike
VICTOR
Tod gained his Bachelor of Arts in Music from the Queensland University of Technology, completed a year in the preparatory course at the prestigious Queensland Conservatorium of Music and studied singing with Raymond Connell. SCAT, the jazz vocal ensemble for the Queensland Arts Council, saw Tod touring to the major cities of Australia. Musical theatre appearances include Calamity Jane, Chess, Little Shop of Horrors, Les Misdrables, Sweet Charity and Cabaret. For Opera Queensland Tod has appeared in Turandot and Otello and was fortunate to appear in the Queensland premieres of Into the Woods and Kiss Me Kate. Tod was a member of the Ten Tenors and sang on their CD, Tenorissimo. He also performed the role of Goro in the Operatif production of Madama Butterfly for the 4MBS Classic Music Festival. For Simon Gailaher's production company, Essgee, Tod performed in The Merry Widow and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. More recently he appeared in Gaslight Gaieties at the Tivoli and Joseph in Harvest Rain Theatre Company's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Tod would like to dedicate his performance in Cats to the memory of his loving mother, Eva, who was and always will be his source of inspiration.
