Peter began his career at the Unicorn Theatre for Children as Sadko in Sadko and The Fish with the Fins of Gold. Since then he has toured extensively and worked in many regional theatre, productions having included Grease, The Front Page, Snoopy, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown (Snoopy in both productions), Sexual Perversity an Chicago, Much Ado About nothing, The Taming of the Shrew and Anthony and Cleopatra. In the West End, Peter was an original member of the Les Miserables company, where he took over the roles of Grantiare and Thenardier. He spent two years with the RSC Stratford and London) gaining critical acclaim for his Aaron in Deborah Warner’s Titus Andronicus. Other RSC work includes Micah in a Question of Geography, Calymwath in the Jew of Malta and The New Inn by Ben Jonson. Peter Created the role of John in Miss Saigon (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane) and took over the role of the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, having played Heathcliff in Martin Yates’ and stave Deveraux’s adaptation of of Wuthering Heights (Oxford Fire Station). Peter has written two full length plays, Searching for the Lemons and Cypriot Graffiti, both performed at London fringe venues. He is a prolific song writer and can be heard singing Alan Hawkshaw’s theme tune to TV’s Love Hurts, which leapt into the charts at No. 26 on it’s single release in the EMI label. On Television Peter is best known as Pauline Quirks husband Chris Theodopoulopoulos in Birds of a Feather (BBC1). Other credits include Capital City, Rich Tea and Sympathy(YTV), The Professionals and also BSB’s Jupiter Moon. Peter co-starred with Jessica Martin and Dave Willetts in a new musical Lonely Hearts by Tricia Ward, directed by Stephen Rayne at The Oxford Fire Station; They’re Playing Our Song at the Cockpit Theatre; Happy End at the Bridewell Theatre, London, directed by Jonathan Best, and as Emile de Becque in South Pacific at the Drill Hall. Peter Played the role of Domingo Mercante in the movie of Evita, with Madonna and Jonathan Pryce; the role of Phil Green in the 60’s movie musical Julie and The Cadillacs; the leading role of Scoop in The Heidi Chronicles by Wendy Wasserstein at the Greenwich Theatre and starred in The Woods by David Mamet at the Finborough Theatre, directed by Robert Shaw; a featured role in the movie Lucan; Orestes in Midnight Flight, a US movie of the week; David O Selznick in Frankly Scarlett at the kings Head Theatre; Ira in a tour of Neil Simon’s Laughter on the 23rd Floor; Ali Hakim in Oklahoma at The Royal National Theatre before transferring to the Lyceum Theatre; Roy Cohn in Angels in America at the Library Theatre, Manchester; Bologna in Dick Whittington at Sadler’s Wells; Metropolis Kabrett at the Royal National Theatre and Neville Craven in The Secret Garden at the RSC Stratford before transferring to the Aldwych. On televison Peter recently appeared as Yiannis in Sunburn for the BBC, Ali Hakim in the film Oklahoma, and as a guest lead in Holby City.
