MISTOFFELEES
Training: Benjamin trained professionally for eight years at The Royal Ballet School and whilst there danced a principal role in Soirees Musicales choreographed for him by Sir Kenneth Macmillan. As a Student he also danced solo at the Kirov for the theatres 250th anniversary celebrations and in his last two years danced with both Royal Ballet companies. On graduation he was awarded the Bagrit Prize by Dame Merle Park and Dame Alicia Markova.
Theatre - after graduation he first danced with Jeune Ballet de France, based in Paris, than both Scottish Ballet and London City Ballet. His first role in a musical was Slavemaster in the original cast of Phantom of the Opera, Manchester from which he transferred to the West End production. He moved to Germany to play Mr Mistoffolees in the Hamburg production of Cats appearing in many television, commercials and promotional features. He has also worked for London Ballet Theatre (American tour), IMG Artsits (Sylvie Guilleme’s tour of Bejart’s Bolero), Concordia Musicale (QE2 Millennium World Cruise), BBC (Scarlet and Black) and the Royal Opera. He is delighted to have joined the London production of Cats.
